Blinking Snail Brooch

The Blinking Snail is a rare bioluminescent land snail, glowing faintly at night.  It thrives in Southeast Asia's humid forests and is both a scavenger and herbivore.  Unlike most glowing creatures, its light isn't used for communicatino but may help startle predators.  Even its tiny hatchlings glow from birth.
