Barro Column Candle Holder

This modern shape for tapered candles was inspired by the columnar supports of the shelving in kilns where the Barro Preto pieces are created. These are well placed on the mantle or table top.

Short:  2.5" x 3" dia.
Tall:  4" x 3" dia.

Barro Preto, black clay, is found in the northern region of Portugal. High temperature along with the length of time of each firing in the kiln results in a deep carbonization of the earthenware, giving the finished pieces their graphite black appearance.
