Angelo Glass

Angelo Glass Framboise is a unique and eye-catching drinking glass crafted from our Angelo plaster piece in the shape of a monk’s head. The original plaster piece has been transformed into a functional piece of drinkware, creating a perfect blend of art and functionality.

Years ago, Sébastien (one of La Soufflerie's founders) was lucky to work on a restoration project for the Saint Sulpice Church in Paris. He found several plaster heads that were about 200 years old in the basement of the church and was able to keep some of them. These pieces were made with a technique used at the time of Rodin. They have been offering these very special pieces, cast from molds made from the original sculptures for a while now and have decided to work them in glass. The Angelo Glass Framboise is mouth-blown from 100% recycled glass by our master glassblowers.
