Cheetah Brooch

Built for speed, the Cheetah can reach 68 miles per hour in just 3 seconds.  Black tear-shaped streaks on its face help in reflecting the sun as they hunt during the day.  They can spot their prey 5 kilometres away and  they are the only big cats that can turn in mid air. Unfortunately, even the 3000 spots on their bodies cannot save these sub-Saharan beauties that are now classified as vulnerable by the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species.
