Two Striped Grasshopper Brooch

The two-striped grasshopper, with its vibrant yellow and black stripes, is a skilled jumper and climber, often seen in grassy fields.  It can leap up to 20 times its body length.  Feeding on various plants, it uses loud chirps for communication.  During mating season, its impressive jumps become part of courtship, aided by its powerful hind legs.
